About this game
Balatro is a poker-themed roguelike deckbuilder made by solo developer LocalThunk and published by Playstack in February 2024. Each round you play poker hands to beat a score target, and between rounds you spend your winnings on Jokers that bend the rules of poker.
The fun is in the combos. Stack the right Jokers, Planet cards and Tarot cards and a humble pair can score in the millions. Every run plays out differently, with new decks and harder stakes to unlock as you go.
